Peter Walters' Memorial Run
In June Peter our friend and fellow member of Maitland Street Rodders passed away after loosing his long battle with Cancer. Peter did not want a funeral and we were also in restrictions due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. When the restrictions were eased we went to Hunter Valley Gardens and had a Memorial Picnic. While the day had a somber feel it was still good to catch up with everyone after being in Covid isolation for 3 months. It ended up being a very good day out.
Tea Gardens Run
On the last weekend of August we had a run to Tea Gardens. Covid restrictions had just been eased and the weather was fantastic. As the pub had restrictions still in place we decided to take a picnic lunch and some had fish and chips from the take away. It was a fantastic day which everyone enjoyed having been in isolation for so long. Ron's having trouble taking photos with his phone.
Paul's Corner
In early September we had a midweek run to Paul's Corner and then on to Darryl's place to look at his build. It was a very windy day and only a few came out but we had a good time. Thanks Darryl for opening your shed.
Paterson
Late September we had a midweek run to Paterson, having a Picnic or take away in the Park. It was a windy day but we were sheltered a bit in the park. From there we went to Ross's for a look at his build and a chat on the back patio. Another good day out.
Stockton
On a great Sunday in September we headed to Stockton for a picnic lunch and some got take away from the local fish and chip shop. Ron was still having trouble taking pictures with his phone and Bob as usual can't eat ice cream without making a mess. Ron was the first to walk across the park to the ice cream truck, everyone else decided they wanted ice cream but when they got half way across the park the ice cream truck left. Ron's name was mud for quite some time but later the truck came back and all were happy in the end. As usual when we go to Stockton a cold southerly came up and we all packed up and went home. Still a good day out.
