Steamfest
Steamfest 2016's Show and Shine was a fantastic event. The weather was perfect leading up to the day and fine on the day which saw about 490 cars and bikes come out of their garages and enter the show. This is the largest attendance since 2013 and goes to show that Steamfest is still very popular provided the weather is good. This year as usual we had Jumping Jukebox play however we also had a dance floor set up with demonstration dancing from the members of All Shook Up Car Club and of course anyone can come and dance on the floor. It added great atmosphere to the event. We had a variety of food outlets this year which included Lions club BBQ, Mexican, Hot Chips, Ice Creams and a Coffee vendor and it was great to see people sitting in the shade on the grass eating and enjoying the day.
We had twenty of our members help set up the show and with the support of the Steamfest Committee and Autobarn we were able to give out 29 trophies and 10 lucky entrant prizes at the presentation. This is the first year that every trophy was handed out at presentation, so people are staying longer and attending the presentation which is great to see.
We thank everyone who attends the show as the money raised goes to Firstchance a charity that supports young people with learning difficulties. Over our last 9 year association with Firstchance we have raised many thousands of dollars and made a real difference to the children they support.
Enjoy the photos.
