Tea Gardens
On a hot January day we headed to Tea Gardens for lunch at the pub. 15 cars and over 20 people were on the run and when we arrived at Tea Gardens there was a lovely North Easter blowing which kept the temperature down and made it a comfortable day. The meal at the pug was good and those who have to have ice cream headed up the road. Paula had this double cone but when she went outside to eat it the breeze melted it faster than she could eat. What a mess so she headed back inside out of the breeze. The rest of us seeing her problems ordered our ice cream in cups. Thanks Paula. We went for the usual drive to Winda Woppa but there were so many people out and about that we could not park so headed home. It was a great day
Port Macquarie
The Coasters Hot Rod Club held their annual Coastal Cruise run in February. It was the first time since Covid that they held the full run. The weather tried it's best to spoil it with a mini cyclone on the Friday afternoon, it cleared so the Friday night meet and greet could go ahead and the SES had the mess cleared up so the show and shine could also happen on the Saturday afternoon. The music on the wharf on Friday and Saturday night was good and everyone who attended had a great time. We look forward to going back in 2024.
Morpeth Motorama
On a hot Sunday morning in early March Morpeth Motorama was held. There were about 250 vehicles in attendance and many clubs in the area were well represented. It's good to see car shows again after having been unable to run them during the Covid years. No trophies are given out at this show and this show caters to all models. The owners come just to show their vehicle and chat with other like-minded car enthusiasts. Enjoy the photos.
